The National Hemophilia Foundation (NHF) is proud to announce that  it has earned a 4-star rating from Charity Navigator, the largest independent charity evaluator in the US.

Only 5% of charities rated by Charity Navigator received a four-star rating, according to Michael Thatcher, President and CEO of Charity Navigator. The company assesses nonprofits on a variety of metrics, focused on fiscal responsibility, governance, ethical practices and transparency. In 2016, Charity Navigator upgraded its methodology, changing its metrics for rating financial health, accountability and transparency.  “We’re honored to have earned this important distinction,” said Mady Schuman, NHF VP for Development. “Our donors want to know that their dollars are being allocated in ways that best serve the bleeding disorders community. This designation is a signal to the philanthropic community that it can be confident of our internal commitment to good governance and financial accountability.
